Four generations of the same family

Joseph C Roberts started this business in 1930 and ran it himself for almost fifty years. His son Charles then took over, and the firm is now in the hands of the third generation of the same family. We remain totally independent, not part of a large co-operative or corporate group, which means every decision about how we care for your family is made by people who answer to you, not to shareholders. Today we also serve families from offices in Wetherby, Leeds and Pontefract, but our roots, and our Harrogate office, are here on the High Street.

Complete Cremation

A full traditional service including collection of your loved one, care beforehand, a hearse, and a funeral director to guide the day itself from start to finish.

Complete Burial

excludes cemetery/grave fees

A full traditional burial service. We can also arrange natural burial, religious funerals and bespoke services including horse-drawn funerals.

We also arrange DWP-assisted funerals and pre-paid funeral plans. Ask us and we will explain your options plainly, with no pressure either way.
